Hello dear Customers,
As you might have known, it is written in our Policies under “Overselling / Fair Usage” that cPanel’s built-in backup is disabled from cPanel to prevent abuse. We have decided to take that course of action due to people misusing backups and downloading/uploading multiple backups at one time. As this is a shared web hosting server, this has been causing high server loads and is impacting the other accounts in the server.
Now, we have developed our own scripts to disallow cPanel full backup generation but allow home directory and mysql backup generation, as well as upload home directory and/or mysql backups, subject to the account’s inodes and total disk usage.
All accounts using more than 25,000 inodes or more than 4 GB space will not be able to access NLH Backup to avoid over-usage. In this case, we will need to be contacted to perform uploading and/or downloading of backups for you. You could also and should back up your own files and MySQL databases by following the tutorial here: http://client.nlharea.com/knowledgebase.php?_mo=kb&_sa=19. This way, you will be able to back up your files and databases to your local computer. In this regard, you cannot hold us responsible for any files lost from your account. Every file (a webpage, image file, email, etc) on your account uses up 1 inode.
We have completed our server move from Q66001 to I7860 server and imported all master resellers to i7860. All accounts moved from Q66001 to I7860 will now be suspended in Q66001 server to prevent updates being lost due to domain propagation. Make sure that when you log in to your cPanel, it says server I7860.
If you are using custom nameservers, do NOT forget to change your custom nameservers. Below is I7860’s nameserver IPs:
NS1 = 173.212.243.82
NS2 = 173.212.243.83
If you are using your own custom nameservers, make sure you log in to your WHM and go to “Edit DNS Zone” and change your NS1 and NS2 ips to 173.212.243.82 and 173.212.243.83. Then wait for the changes in nameservers to fully propagate across all the internet around the globe. This can take up to 72 hours, depending on how fast your internet provider caches updates on DNS.
For customers who contacted us to exclude their accounts from being moved to i7860 server, and are using your custom nameservers then you do NOT have to change anything, but if you are using our nameservers, please change your nameservers to:
ns1.q66001.luv.ph
ns2.q66001.luv.ph
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time.
